Want to talk it through?
How the quiz works
You answer seven questions; we compare your answers with the rules on our Portugal, Italy and Greece pages and show your best fit on screen, before any email.
The questions cover the country you are most curious about, your budget, how you would use the permit, what matters most to you, when you want residence, who applies with you and your passport. The logic is the same for everyone. We are paid when we introduce you to a partner, and that never changes the result.
What happens with your answers
Your answers stay in this browser tab. Your name and email are sent only if you ask for the breakdown, and they go to partners only if you tick the separate box.
We do not set cookies for the quiz and we do not store your name or email in your browser. The full breakdown page reads your answers from this tab's session storage, which your browser clears when you close the tab.
Not ready yet? Get rule-change alerts for Portugal, Italy and Greece: when a rule, fee or threshold changes, we tell you what changed and link the official source.
The quiz is general information, not legal, tax or investment advice. Applications are handled by our partners, not by us, and no outcome is guaranteed.
Questions we hear most
- Which is the best golden visa program?
- There is no single best program, only the best fit for what you want to hold and how much time you will spend there. Greece is the only one of the three where a home still qualifies, Portugal is a €500,000 fund with a few days a year in the country, and Italy is a business or capital route from €250,000 in a startup to €2 million in bonds. The quiz weighs those against your answers.
- Which country has the easiest golden visa to keep?
- On stay rules alone, Greece has no minimum stay and Italy exempts you from its residence continuity rules for the first five years, while Portugal asks for seven days in the first year and fourteen in each later two year period. Easy to keep is not the same as right for you, which is why the quiz also asks about budget and goals.
- Do I have to give my email to see the result?
- No. Your best fit, the reasons and the key facts show on screen as soon as you answer the last question. You can ask us to email the full breakdown, and you can read it on the next page without giving us anything.
- Will you share my details with partners?
- Only if you tick the separate partner box, which is never ticked for you. You get the breakdown either way. If you tick it, a visa or fund partner may contact you, and we are paid for introductions.
- Does my nationality change my result?
- Your passport adds notes to your result, for example on US tax reporting or Brazilian timelines for Portuguese citizenship. It is never used to score or rank you.
- Is the quiz advice?
- No. It is a starting point built from the rules on our country pages, not legal, tax or investment advice. Applications are handled by our partners, not by us.
