Direct answer: The calculator adds the official state fees for your route, family size and the number of years you keep the permit to the minimum investment. Costs that no state publishes, such as lawyers and fund fees, are listed separately and not guessed.

How we built the estimates

Every fee comes from one data file, and each value in it points to an official source listed below; anything we could not verify is shown as "not included" with the reason.

  • Renewals are counted from the permit lengths in law: Portugal two years then two, Greece five then five, Italy two then three.
  • Per person fees are multiplied by everyone applying. Where the law or fee table is unclear about family members, we say so rather than guess.
  • Italy's visa fee is set quarterly in local currency by each consulate; we use the Los Angeles consulate's table as an example.
  • The estimate is not a quote, not advice and not a promise of what you will pay.

Which golden visa fits you?

Seven short questions on budget, how much time you expect to spend there, family and what you want from the permit. You get a result for Portugal, Greece or Italy, and you decide what happens next.
