Write to us.
You will not find a contact form on this page, or anything resembling a ticket queue. There is an address, and behind it a person.
For anything at all (a correction, a question about something we published, or just a note) write to us here:
We read everything. We do not promise to answer every message quickly (two of us run this, and the editorial work comes first) but real questions get real answers from a real person.
If you spot a mistake, this is the fastest way to get it fixed. How we handle corrections is set out in the editorial standards.
A note on letters
Some of the best things we receive are letters: a reader's own experience of a village, a warning about a firm, a question worth answering in public. From time to time we quote one in The Letter, because other readers benefit from it. We only ever do that with your permission, and we will ask first. If you would rather your note stayed private, say so, and it will.
