Privacy

Your data, plainly.

This audience reads privacy policies, so we wrote one that can actually be read. Here is every way MedLifestyle touches your data, and every way it does not.

The short version

We do not use advertising trackers. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, ever. Our analytics are cookieless and hold nothing personal about you. The only personal data we deliberately collect is an email address, and only if you choose to give us one for The Letter. That is the whole of it. The detail follows.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Like essentially any web host, its servers keep technical logs, things such as IP addresses and browser types, for a limited period, to keep the site running, fast, and secure against attacks. We use this only to operate and protect the site.

Analytics

We measure how the site is used with Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics tool that uses no cookies and collects no personal information. It does not follow you across other sites. It tells us that a page was read; it does not tell us who you are. There is no cookie banner because there are no tracking cookies to consent to.

The Letter

If you subscribe to The Letter, we collect your email address, and only your email address. We use a double opt-in: after you sign up, you confirm by clicking a link in an email, so nobody can be subscribed without their say-so. We use your address for one thing, to send you the letter. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe, and leaving is instant and permanent.

The letter is delivered through a specialist newsletter provider, which processes your email address on our behalf under a data-processing agreement and is bound by the same commitments set out here. We name that provider in this policy once the account is live.

What we never do

Your rights under the GDPR

If you are in the EU, the UK, or the EEA, the law gives you rights over your personal data, and we honor them. You can:

Getting in touch about your data

If we ever change how we handle data, we will update this page and change the date below.
