Short and concrete, so you can hold us to it too. Every specific on this site is meant to be true and checkable, every legal or financial figure is linked to its source with the date we checked it, and we tell you plainly how we make money.

Every specific is true

If a price, a distance, a market day, a village, a fee or a name appears on this site, it is real. We do not round a fact into fiction to make a sentence flow, and we do not invent detail to sound like we have been somewhere we have not. When our own experience runs out, we say so and name our sources. How the writing gets made, and who checks it, is set out in how we work.

How we research the golden visa desk

We start from the law in force and the agency that runs each program, not from other websites, and we date every check.

  • Official sources first: the consolidated law, the official gazette, the immigration agency's own pages and fee tables, the tax authority. Where an official site blocks us, we say so.
  • Secondary sources are labelled as secondary on every page where we use them.
  • Every page lists its sources at the bottom, each with a "last checked" date.
  • When sources disagree, for example an agency web page that has not caught up with a new law, we show both and say which one we follow.
  • Anything we could not verify is marked for confirmation during review and is not published as fact. When the site goes live, unconfirmed items are removed from published pages, and a table cell we could not confirm reads "Not yet confirmed".
  • Reviewed by a professional: a golden visa page carries a "reviewed by" line only once a named licensed professional has checked it. Until then the line is left off, rather than shown as a placeholder.

We are not your lawyer or your tax advisor

This is the important one. Nothing here is legal, tax, immigration or investment advice. Visa rules, tax residency, inheritance and property law change, they turn on your situation, and getting them wrong is expensive. We explain how the process tends to work and what to watch for, then tell you plainly to verify it with a licensed professional in the relevant country before you act. Golden visa applications are handled by our partners, not by us, and no approval, permit, return or timeline is ever guaranteed.

How we are paid

We are paid for introductions: if you ask us to introduce you to one of our visa application partners or the fund manager we work with, and you go ahead with them, they pay us a fee.

That fee never decides what a page says, which route a page recommends or what the quiz shows you. The quiz logic is the same for everyone. We only pass your details on when you tick the separate partner box, which is never ticked for you. The other ways we make money are set out on our disclosure page.

When we get it wrong, we fix it and say so

We will make mistakes, and we would rather show you the fix than hide it. When you find one, write to editor@medlifestyle.eu. If it is wrong, we correct it, and where the correction is material we note on the page what changed and when. On golden visa pages we also update the "last checked" date whenever we recheck a source. The full policy is on our corrections page.

Money never shapes the conclusion

We make money from introductions, vetted partners, affiliate links and clearly labeled sponsored pieces. None of it decides what an article says or who we recommend. If a partner stops doing the work that earned the recommendation, the recommendation goes.

No healthcare content

We do not write about health, medicine, symptoms or treatment. It is outside what we are qualified to publish.

How we source

Lived experience comes first: a place we have actually been, a process we have actually been through. Where that runs out, we use named, checkable sources rather than vague authority.
